Hotel Newton
New York City is a great place to visit, but it can be expensive. If you stay in the Mid-Town area, hotels can be pricey. Depending on where you stay, the neighborhood where the hotel is located can also be very congested. This is the city that doesn't sleep, and all of those people up at 3:00 in the morning may be wandering around in front of your hotel. A nice alternative to Mid-Town is the Upper West side. It has nice hotels for less money, and the atmosphere on the street, although urban, is less intense.

Imagine getting up in the morning, and before taking off for a day at the museum or exploring Central Park, you amble over to the diner next-door for a leisurely breakfast. Not one of those places where you stand in line at a counter and then fight for a seat, but a restaurant where they wait on you and bring your food to the table. Refreshed and ready for the day, you walk a block to the subway and head for your destination.

If you can, and if you don't already live there, you should try to go to New York City at least once a year. It is a dynamic, exciting place. Take it from us. Stay on the Upper West Side. Try the Hotel Newton, or one of the other hotels along Broadway. Start your day in a neighborhood where you are more likely to be greeted by a mom pushing a baby stroller than a mob rushing to work.
